Main Research directions
1. Excavation and innovative utilization of excellent germplasm resources of adzuki bean and mung bean.
2. Research on drought-resistant cultivation and mechanized sowing and harvesting of beans.
Overview of Teaching and Research
I have long been engaged in scientific research on the excavation and innovation of excellent germplasm resources of the adzuki bean and the mung bean, and the mechanized sowing and harvesting of drought-resistant cultivation. I have successively undertaken more than 20 national, provincial and academy projects, including 4 provincial science and technology department projects and 5 academy-level projects. 14 varieties of small miscellaneous grains (4 adzuki beans, 5 mung beans, 4 buckwheat, and 1 barley) passed the provincial examination (recognition, appraisal), and I am the first breeder of adzuki bean Jin 5, adzuki bean Jin 8, and adzuki bean Jin 9. Moreover, I have published 14 papers in academic journals above the provincial level, won 7 national utility model patents and formulated and promulgated 3 local standards in Shanxi Province. I have won 3 second prizes of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Award, one first prize and two second prizes of Shanxi Rural Technology Contracting Award.
