Main Research directions
1. Mechanism of anthocyanin synthesis and accumulation in foxtail millet
2. Mechanism of response of minor crops to abiotic stress
Overview of Teaching and Research
Dr Li Yaqiong has been working for many years on investigating mechanism of plant response to abiotic stress. She presides over 4 high-level research projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Natural Science Foundation of Shanxi Province, and has published 6 papers in international and national academic journals, 5 of which have been included by SCI.
She undertakes the teaching tasks of specialized courses for the undergraduates of agronomy specialty (functional agronomy direction), and the main courses are "Medicinal Plant Cultivation" and "Nutrition and Food Hygiene".
